EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company and specialist in EMEA semiconductor distribution, has appointed Eckart Voskamp as director of its EBVchips programme. With this program EBV, together with its customers, defines and develops new semiconductor products. In EBVchips, EBV Elektronik has created an innovative and ambitious concept that has already seen significant success. Seven original EBVchips have emerged from the programme to date. To continue to extend the EBVchips programme and to take it to the next level, EBV has expanded the team with Eckart Voskamp. “Thanks to his strong technical background and his many years of experience, Eckart Voskamp is the ideal person for this position”, comments Thomas Staudinger, vice president vertical segments EBV Elektronik. “We are convinced that Voskamp will make a crucial contribution to the successful further development of the EBVChips programme and to setting the strategic course for the future”. Before moving to EBV, Voskamp worked as director of the EMEA RF segment at NXP Semiconductor. During an international career spanning more than 20 years, he has held various managerial and strategic positions at leading companies such as ZMD, Infineon and NXP as well as at start-up companies in the USA. Among his first roles was that of IC design engineer at Texas Instruments.
